Mr. Messersmith holds an unrestricted license to practice law from the State of Illinois since November 2002. He has practiced law continuously since 2002 with a concentration on immigration law.
Before opening The Messersmith Law Firm, Mr. Messersmith gained extensive practical experience clerking for the Honorable Dorothy Kirie Kinnaird, the Presiding Judge of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County as an extern as well as clerking for the Honorable Timothy C. Evans, the Chief Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County as an intern.
Mr. Messersmith earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 and a law degree from the John Marshall Law School in 2002.
