Four years ago, my wife and I solicited The Messersmith Law Firm services, desperate to find not only assistance in our case, but mainly an honest legal counsel who would at least truly give some consideration to the situation we were experiencing. My wife was a J1 recipient which subjected her to the infamous non negotiable two year restriction rule. In other words, upon completion of her program she was due to immediately return to her home country for a period of two years before being able to apply for residency in the US. As one can imagine, that clause brought a tremendous amount of uncertainty, anxiety, fear of not knowing what to expect. We then looked for preliminary counsel only to be told very quickly, abruptly that the case was not worth to represent, that it would be IMPOSSIBLE to be granted the needed waiver that would allow my wife and I to remain together without having to leave, shatter our life as we knew it. According to them, she had 180 days to depart from the United States and were strongly advised to start making arrangements. One can only understand the devastation and heartbreak felt. One avid internet search pointed at the Messersmith Law Firm's information. Jen Ren, the firm's paralegal responded promptly and by the tone of the first correspondence, there was an inexplicable feel of "calm", as if things were going to be just fine. Very shortly after, we scheduled our fin person appointment with Peter Messersmith in his office; a fine professional individual, personable, expert in his field with an extensive track record handling similar cases. He never promised anything unrealistic, to the contrary he was clear, always precise so we would not build false expectations. The journey was NOT impossible, but there was of course a possibility that in the end, despite all the financial and time investment, the case could still be denied and fail. It was far more promising to us than the previous pessimism and refusal we had experienced. It is THAT honesty, THAT willingness to not only take the case but to truly represent us and fight for it no matter what the outcome would be that made us retain his services on the spot and entrust him with our "fate". The very journey was going to be filled with anxiety, unknown, long wait, status checks, etc. Every step of the process was accounted for, handled promptly without any delay. Jen was an absolute life saviour in those multiple instances reassuring us that in the end all will be well and that there was absolutely no reason to worry, being Peter's extended eyes. It felt amazingly great each time we would check in via phone, even if it was to say hello as we were waiting. Peter is not the average immigration lawyer, working by the book, and on the ticking clock. He is an informed professional, genuinely knows the intricacy of the system, states facts and does his research. His rates are absolutely reasonable, no hidden fees, no surprises and at no point the focal attention. Everything is precisely laid out ahead to fully understand what is expected. Peter and Jen, through their stellar expertise, allowed my wife to remain in the country legally, to maintain her career, and after thousands of case status checks, refreshes, on a daily basis, we got the decisive news. The best gift one could wish for. The waiver was granted by both agencies and consequently the Green Card issued. We would never be able to thank them both enough for everything. Thank you sincerely Peter and Jen for everything you have done to make this happen, and above all, thank you for your friendship. To those of you who are in need of legal counsel and feel lost or desperate, I simply say "The Messersmith Law Firm". A true and honest firm, subject expert in the field of immigration law, period!!!! We would dare to say the IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE!!! Good luck to all dealing with immigration related issues. A Nigerian Professor that doubled as my mentor during graduate school recommended Mr. Messersmith, Esq for my NIW/EB1 application. A the time, I was not sure how to proceed, until I wrote to the Messersmith Law Firm and inquired about the process. It did not take long before the paralegal of the firm, Mrs. Jen Ren, replied to my email, including inviting me to send my resume for review. Upon looking at my previous experiences and qualifications, Mr. Messersmith determined that I qualified for NIW/EB1. He chose to represent me on what I thought was a relatively cheaper legal fee. In fact, we came up with a payment plan that including monthly installments (super convenient for a student like me back then). Soon, he would send me a list of materials I should gather, and how to package the same in order to make a convincing case. Over 1 year, we worked together and submitted both my I-140 and I-485 together in July 2017. One year later, my green card was approved, despite the much anti-immigration political rhetoric in the country. What I liked about the Messersmith Law Firm was their responsiveness. They were quick to respond to emails, to send you notifications, to inform you on present immigration law changes, and importantly in answering phone calls and appointments. Mr. Messersmith was also great at working with what you have, even if you may lack key documents needed to apply. This speaks to the resourcefulness and respect in the field that he has gained so far. I highly recommend the Messersmith Law Firm for all your immigration needs. I have already referred two people. Thank you Mr. Messersmith and Jen.read more

Peter is the best lawyer I've met before. He guided me step by step to prepare all the materials that USCIS need. Peter is very professional and knowledgeable. Whenever I wrote email to ask him questions, he always responded me so quickly. Most importantly, Peter never gave me non-sense word for a reply. He would exactly and clearly tell you what was the key point in your case and which kind of supporting documents you should prepare to strengthen you case. I did hardship waiver, it was not that easy in my case and i didn't have any confidence for that until I met Peter. I will definitely recommend him to my friends and colleagues. If I need a lawyer for immigration case in future, I would come back to him again. He did an excellent job!!! I do appreciate!!read more

The best Law firm I know. I am very satisfied with the professional service I've received. Also, they do not treat you just as clients but they go above that and treat you as a FAMILY. Peter and Jen were always available for any questions I had and treated me as a family. I was always informed and guided with the slightest detail you can imagine. I still remember my first call in a parking lot where I was tense about my case. But Peter knew exactly and how to proceed with the problems I was facing. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone. He definitely knows what to do and how to do it and was very clear what my options were when I first had a conversation with him. I personally have never met him and all the conversations were on phone or e-mail, but I TRUST him and here I am, got my L1A approved. Thank you Peter and Jen. You guys are amazing and the BEST.read more

My husband and I enlisted the help of Peter Messersmith sometime in the Fall of 2015. Mr Messersmith reviewed my husband's resume and felt strongly that he was eligible for the NIW. Although some lawyers had informed us the NIW no longer existed or that we were not eligible, Mr. Messersmith reassured us that he had clients that had received green cards around the period. He suggested he could help to put a strong case together for us if we followed his advise and obtained the supporting documentation. Our interaction with Messersmith law firm was mostly via email, and once over the phone to Mr Messersmith himself and a few times to Jen, his paralegal. getting recommendation letters and gathering the evidence was quite arduous. We eventually put in our application to USCIS around June 2016. Getting a first decision from uscis was delayed too. We were under the impression the entire process will last about 6 months but it lasted about 18months. I must also say it was very expensive. We spent a lot of money but it is money well spent. I will advise prospective clients to be very patient, and follow his instructions. Even though the process took a very long time, at the end of the day , patience paid off. Jen , his assistant is very good. We could reach her at any time during work hours, she always replied our questions, willing to speak to us and is very polite. We got our green card a few days ago, and we were very pleased and thankful that all our efforts, time and money paid off. I will definitely recommend Mr Peter Messersmith.read more

We're truly impressed!! Attorney Peter Messersmith is the Best!! I got attorney Peter Messersmith's name from my best friend. Attorney Peter Messersmith applied for an NIW through entrepreneur for my best friend. It was supposed to be really hard to get such cases approved but he got it approved quickly for my friend. My best friend only has great things to say about attorney Peter Messersmith and told me that if there is one lawyer who can get my case approved it would have to be him. My boyfriend and I came to the US on L1 visas but our employer can't sponsor us for EB1C green cards. I heard about EB1A but I know that it's super hard to secure an approval. We scheduled a time to speak to attorney Peter Messersmith. He explained to us about the process and told us that my boyfriend had a better case and my case was not good. You can tell from talking to him that he's an expert in this area. Since we do not plan to get married anytime soon so we plan to apply separately. I asked attorney Peter Messersmith to take my case and I want to give it a try and I will not blame him in anyway if it doesn't go well. He said that the only possibility for a positive result is that we work together and produce as many supporting documents as possible. We each signed an agreement right after we spoke to him. We were happy that he doesn't charge hourly. He sent us a lot of materials after we signed up. We followed all of his instructions and listened every single advice from him. The help we received from him is priceless. He returned all of our many phone calls and responded to all of our many emails. He's a big name lawyer but he never ignored us. His secretary was very nice too. My boyfriend got his documents quicker than mine so his case was filed one month before mine. His case was approved in 4 months and my case was approved about 6 and half months. Neither of us received a request for more evidence. The services we received were exceptional and were above and beyond our expectations. If you want a lawyer who can get your case approved, he's the one! He diligently worked on our cases personally throughout the whole process. Attorney Peter Messersmith is an extraordinary lawyer! He's the one who can help you achieve your immigration dreams!read more

After reading all of the great reviews on Avvo and google, I finally found the right attorney Peter Messersmith. He's truly the best! During my H1B transfer process, USCIS found me inadmissible under INA 212(a)(6)(c)(i) misrepresentation. For those who are affected by this section of law must know how serious this is. The INA 212(a)(6)(c)(i) carries a life time bar which prevents you from getting any immigration benefits. After reading all the great reviews on Avvo and google and a friend also mentioned that Peter Messersmith is a very well known and great attorney, I called his office and talked to his staff Jen who is very friendly to set a time to speak with him. After speaking with him, I felt that he is very intelligent and trustworthy. I knew immediately that if there is one attorney in this world can help me resolve this it would be him. I was right. He successfully helped me reopen my case, successfully win the appeal and obtain my H1B transfer. It was such a great experience working with him so my company hired him for my PERM labor certification and green card. He got both of them approved for me! I'm so grateful! During the process, I referred him to my cousin who would like to obtain an L1 visa and green card. Peter also successfully obtained both L1 visa and green card for my cousin. My cousin also had a great experience with attorney Peter Messersmith and his team. His fee is not low but considering the time, effort and great results, it's totally worth it! My cousin and I are both volunteers in our local hospital and homeless shelter on the weekends. Now we can give back to our community. Attorney Peter Messersmith made all of these possible. Thanks so much attorney Peter Messersmith! You're truly the most trustworthy and brilliant attorney! I'll definitely highly recommend you to anyone who needs immigration help!read more

After being recommended by some close friends, I appointed Mr. Peter Messersmith as our immigration lawyer to file our green card application. He filed our green card petition on both EB1A and EB2 category in 2015. He suggested me not to go for premium processing but to file as a concurrent application for EB1A category. Processing of our case got delayed in USCIS for some unknown reason and It took almost 1.5 years to get the green card in hand. Filling concurrent application did not save any time rather we had to do medical exams twice as it was more than a year old. Finally Peter got our cases approved in both categories which we made us very very happy with the outcome. We definitely recommend Messersmith Law firm for green card application. I think Messersmith Law firm handles the cases very professionally. During this entire time, I spoke with Peter only once over phone, rest of the communications was by email. He is very good at answering emails. I also appreciate the helps from Peter's assistant, Jen Ren during the entire time. The only thing I found as cons is - Peter is very expensive compared to the other highly-rated immigration Lawyers. He charges for EAD/AP applications separately which goes with I-485 application and charges for answering any RFEs you receive from USCIS. But at the end of the day, I can't complain because Peter and his law firm gave us the best outcome which we payed for.read more
